Sunrise over the Golden Gate bridge

Travel photo reports   /   Tags:

On the 14th day of my staying in San Francisco, I cooked the mujaddara, lentil soup and meatballs using the recipe of my Tunisian grandmother that I never had. But, although I really miss Israel, I still am capable of heroic things. Like waking up at 4 AM, grabbing a thermos with some hot tea and driving to the famous red bridge, the Golden Gate. At this hour only birds and some photographers hang out here. When it’s still dark out, there is no fog, but with the first rays of sun, the whole bridge, the Alcatraz, and the city skyline gets covered by the thick fog and you find yourself inside the cup of milk. What is left to do is to drink your tea.

Some couple wonder by.

And it’s really quiet.

Then the fog gets denser.

This is my favorite picture.

In few hours, when it’s light out and the breakfast time is finishing, it looks like this:

And sometimes – like this :)
